2. Rashtra Kavach Om – ZEE5, August 11

Starring Aditya Roy Kapoor, the film sees a special forces commando on a mission to save the country. Suffering from amnesia, all he remembers is his father being branded a traitor, he makes it his mission to use his skills and prove his innocence to the country. However, this mission is filled with risks, lies and betrayals. The film also stars Sanjana Sanghi and is released on Raksha Bandhan.

3. A League of Their Own – Amazon Prime Video, August 12

The series is an adaptation of the 1992 film of the same name which tells the story of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League during the World War II era. The story begins in 1943 and takes us deep into their lives, tracing the games, the lives of the players, racial discrimination and more.

4. Laal Singh Chaddha – August 11

Along with Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan, Aamir Khan’s most anticipated film is also on screen. The film is a remake of the popular American film Forrest Gump (1994) which starred Tom Hanks in the lead role. The film is about a man with a low IQ but a heart of gold and how he handles the most adverse situations, while positively impacting everyone around him in the process.

5. Corpse – Disney+ Hotstar, August 12

This investigative thriller is a staple of this Raksha Bandhan. Dr. Bhadra is a police surgeon, who investigates the corpses and recreates the event to find out the causes of death. When a serial killer starts leaving bodies behind, she must find more information to solve the case.

6. Raksha Bandhan – Theatre, August 11

Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan is finally coming out for the holidays. Kedarnath is the eldest brother of four sisters who has sworn to settle down only after marrying his sisters. It also impacts his personal life as his childhood sweetheart Sapna has been waiting to marry him for ages. Directed by Aanand L, the film also features Bhumi Pednekar.

7. Day Shift – Netflix, August 12

Directed by JJ Perry, the film stars Jamie Foxx, Dave Franco, Snoop Dogg and Karla Souza. A hard working father tries to support his daughter and works as a pool cleaner. However, this is just a facade, his real job is to hunt and kill vampires.

This DC Comic series picks up where The Suicide Squad left off. We see Peacemaker return home, however, he realizes that his freedom comes at a price.

9. The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent – ​​Lionsgate Play, August 12

Author Nick Cage faces financial difficulties and decides to attend the birthday party of a wealthy fan who offers him $1 million. Things take an unexpected turn when a CIA agent recruits Cage and he finds himself playing the role of a lifetime.
