6 Best Netflix Movies (& 3 Shows) To Watch On Christmas Day 2021

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate! To help you find what to watch on Netflix for Christmas Day 2021, we’ve shared the best Netflix movies (and a few shows) for you to check out.

It’s really hard to find a solid movie to watch. Sometimes I feel like I spend the time it takes to watch a full movie trying to find something to stream. If this is you, we’re here to help.

Let’s start the list with the best Netflix movies to watch for Christmas Day 2021 below.

Best Netflix Christmas Movies

We’ve selected a mix of the most popular Netflix movies right now, as well as Christmas hits on Netflix.

Let’s start the list with Red note.

red notice

red notice is officially the most popular (and most expensive!) Netflix movie of all time. It stars Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot. The story follows an FBI profiler who is forced to team up with one art thief to take down another. It’s a great choice for the whole family on Christmas Day.

the unforgivable

the unforgivable is the biggest Netflix movie release of December 2021. The Sandra Bullock-directed feature film follows a woman who is released from prison years after committing a horrific crime. It is NOT a great choice for the whole family this year.

A Californian Christmas

A Californian Christmas and A Californian Christmas: City Lights are the romantic Christmas movie choices for Christmas Day. You have already seen this film, so it will be very heartwarming.

A Boy Called Noel

A Boy Called Noel is my new favorite Netflix Christmas movie for the whole family this year. It has an incredible cast, including Henry Lawfull, Toby Jones, Sally Hawkins, Kristen Wiig, Michiel Huisman, Zoe Colletti, Stephen Merchant, Jim Broadbent and Maggie Smith.

It is based on the book of the same name by Matt Haig.

army of thieves

army of thieves is my favorite Netflix movie of the year. It’s the prequel to army of the dead, but there are no zombies and all that. Instead, it’s a heist movie that features the origin story of safecracker Ludwig Dieter. This movie is amazing!

Enola Holmes

Enola Holmes premiered in 2020, so it’s not exactly new, but it’s a great movie to watch with the whole family. Millie Bobby Brown stars as Enola, Sherlock’s younger sister. After her mother goes missing, Enola uses her wits and skills to find her and gets caught up in another mystery along the way.

The best Netflix Christmas shows

If movies aren’t your style, there are plenty of great Netflix shows to watch this Christmas.

Let’s start the list with The silent sea.

The silent sea

The silent sea premiered on Netflix on Christmas Eve 2021, so today is actually the second day to watch the new Netflix original series. It stars Gong Yoo, Bae Doona, Lee Joon, Kim Sun-young, and Lee Moo-Saeng.

The Korean drama tells the story of a group of people who travel into space to retrieve something from a space station. That looks interesting!

sweet magnolias

sweet magnolias is the Christmas choice that feels good! The second season of the hit series hits Netflix on February 4, 2022.

For those unaware, the series follows three lifelong best friends as they try to navigate various things that life throws their way: parenthood, kids, work, relationships, and more.

Bridgerton

It’s been a year – can you believe it? – because Bridgerton premiere on Netflix. For that reason, it’s a must-watch on Netflix on Christmas Day if you’re a fan of the show.

Bridgerton Season 2 has officially wrapped production and is coming to Netflix soon.
