6 new Netflix movies and shows to watch this week (August 1)

I’m in disbelief that it’s August. The year has passed and I don’t know where the time has gone. But, as we do every week, we’re sharing all new Netflix movies and shows starting the week of August 1, 2022.

The streaming giant doesn’t care if it’s a new day, a new week or a new month. They attack us from all angles with brand new content. It’s impressive how much content they put out, no matter what’s going on behind the scenes.

New Netflix movies and shows to watch this week

  • Clusterf**k: Woodstock ’99, August 2nd
  • Super Giant Robot Brothers!, August 4
  • wedding season, August 4
  • Carter, 5 August
  • The Rise of the Teenage Mutant Turtle: The Movie 5 August
  • sand man, 5 August

Biggest release of the week The sand man is based on the popular 1996 DC comic, and expectations are relatively high for the series. Series Writer and Executive Producer David S. Goyer (Blade, The Dark Knight, Man of Steel) has been running this show for over a decade, and its track record is why fans (including me) have high hopes for the show.

The sand man is set in 1916, where Morpheus, held captive for over 100 years, escapes and sets out to restore order to his kingdom. Tom Sturridge plays Morpheus alongside Gwendoline Christie, Boyd Holbrook and many others.

The other big release that excites me is the return of our favorite Ninja Turtles with The Rise of the Teenage Mutant Turtle: The Movie. I love TMNT, and even in animated form, I’m ready to consume this film. Ben Schwartz, Omar Benson Miller, Brandon Mychal Smith and Josh Brener voice our favorite turtles.

According to our suggestions, what are you going to watch? Are you excited about the series The sand man? Or will you watch the Ninja Turtle movie with me? Let us know, and hopefully next week brings us more additions to Netflix.
