A return to Hogwarts plus 7 new movies and shows to watch this weekend

Including Netflix’s documentary about Jimmy Savile, Ridley Scott’s latest sci-fi outing and Chris Pine’s new spy thriller.

Another week of jammers for all things film and TV!

To start, here are the films which will all be available on big screens in Ireland from Friday 8th April.

FANTASTIC BEASTS: SECRETS OF DUMBLEDORE

Four years after The Crimes Of Grindelwald, the third outing in the Fantastic Beasts series will focus on a (rather) young Dumbledore (Jude Law) as he and his fellow good wizards must decide how long they will stay away during the before World War II.

THE CLOTHE

Leonard (Mark Rylance) is an English tailor who makes suits on London’s famous Savile Row. He must outsmart a dangerous group of criminals to survive a fateful night.

TV star Jimmy Savile charmed a nation with his eccentricity and philanthropy. But the sexual abuse allegations reveal a shockingly invisible side to her personality.

RAISED BY WOLVES SEASON TWO

We return to this epic sci-fi story centered around a group of human children and their android protectors who attempt to start a new life in an alien world after Earth has been essentially destroyed. But other human survivors, as well as some threats native to the planet, cause a lot of trouble for this makeshift family.

All eight episodes of the second season can be viewed with a NOW Entertainment subscription now.

DRUNK SINGLE WOMAN

Starring 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, this dramedy tells the story of Samantha Fink (Sofia Black-D’Elia), who is forced to return home to her overbearing mother and sober up after suffering from very public depression. .

All ten episodes of the first season will be available to watch on Disney+ right now.

ALL OLD KNIVES

Chris Pine, Thandiwe Newton, Laurence Fishburne and Jonathan Pryce star in this taut spy thriller. When the CIA discovers that a mole within their organization leaked information that resulted in the deaths of over 100 people, an agent (Pine) is sent on a global journey to uncover their identities.

The film is available on Prime Video from Friday, April 8.

THE BABY BOSS 2: FAMILY BUSINESS

The sequel to the hit 2017 animated film sees the business-minded babes go up against an evil professor who wants to suppress childhood all over the world. The big voice list includes Jeff Goldblum, Amy Sedaris, James Marsden, Alec Baldwin, Lisa Kudrow, Eva Longoria and Jimmy Kimmel.
