IT’S BANANA FRIDAY!!!! Everyone is excited because we have reached the weekend.
Below, we’re sharing the best new movies to watch in theaters and the movies available on streaming services you won’t want to miss.
It’s been a rather light week of movie releases and I think it has a lot to do with Netflix releasing Part 2 of Season 4 of stranger things.
It may only be two episodes, but in these two episodes, they are almost four hours long. The streaming platforms were therefore right to stay away from this weekend.
New movies to watch (and stream) today
- Minions Rise of Gru, In theaters
- Marvel Studios Assembled: The Making of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Disney+
- Princess, Hulu
The biggest release of the weekend is the return of everyone’s favorite little guys in the Minions Rise of Gru. The story follows the story of Gru, who dreamed of becoming the world’s greatest supervillain. Since Gru is my favorite character of the bunch, I’m excited to see an origin story explaining why he became what he became. I’m sure the kids will have you lining up at the door when the theaters open to catch this one.
Hulu is trying to continue its hit trend with another original movie starring Joey King in Princess. The film follows a willful princess who refuses to marry anyone. She is kidnapped and locked in a tower. I love Joey King and I hope this movie is better than what we saw in the trailer.
Are you a fan of the making of projects? Well, Disney+ releases the making of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. I wasn’t a big fan of the movie, but the behind-the-scenes look at how they were made is still worth a look.
What are you going to watch this weekend? Would you like a film in theaters or streaming?
