July 1, 2022 (Stranger Things and more)

July is here and so are a ton of new movies and shows on Netflix. All of these things are not new, but they might be new to you. Although there’s certainly nothing wrong with re-watching an old favorite.

Starting Friday, July 1, you’ll be able to watch a slew of Oscar-nominated films, fun girl-centric films, and of course the final two episodes of Season 4 of stranger things.

Let’s start with what everyone has been waiting for for a few weeks: stranger things! Season 4 vol. 2 will wrap up the long-awaited fourth season, and it’s bound to be as stressful and terrifying as ever.

Eleven is still stuck in Dr. Brenner’s underground lab, Nancy is still in the Upside Down, and Hopper, Joyce, and Murray have yet to find their way back from Russia to Hawkins. There are a lot of details to iron out, but whatever the result, it’s sure to be spectacular.

There’s also a bunch of Oscar-nominated movies coming to Netflix today, including Catch Me If You Can, GoodFellas, The pursuit of happiness, Seven, The Talented Mr. Ripley, The terminal, blue jasmineand zero dark thirty. And with the recent passing of Ray Liotta, if you haven’t seen his performance in GoodFellasit is time.

There are also a few movies coming to Netflix that some might consider “girl movies” but are really just fun movies led by female characters. This includes the ultimate teen movie, mean girls, Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulousand LOL with Miley Cyrus.

There are also quite a few comedies coming to Netflix today. They include Adam Sandler Grandpaby Will Ferrell Old school and Semi-professionaland police academy.
