This time last weekend, it was becoming clearer that the Halloween season was starting to impact the Netflix Top 10 lists. The family comedy The Curse of Bridge Hollow reached first place in the movie rankings, and a number of other scary titles also made their way onto both lists. The Marlon Wayans-directed comedy has since been spoofed by another new release, The School of Good and Evil, who led the field at the end of the week. So, is the fantasy movie still keeping things going in this post, and what else has changed since Friday? We will discuss these things and more right now.
Top 10 Movies on Netflix in the US – October 22, 2022
The School of Good and Evil is still #1 When it comes to movies on netflix. The recently published book-movie adaptation was eagerly awaited and, although reviews have been mixed to negative, there are still clearly a lot of people checking it out. Meanwhile, The Curse of Bridge Hollow remains in second place, which is also impressive. Other notable developments today include a slight drop for The luckiest girl in the world and a nice bump for The Stranger. You can check out the full rankings below:
- 1. The School of Good and Evil
- 2. The Curse of Bridge Hollow
- 3. Abroad
- 4. The luckiest girl in the world
- 5. Sing 2
- 6. Dracula Untold
- 7. Despicable Me 2
- 8. Megamind
- 9. Last Seen Alive
- 10. Breakdown
Given the popularity surrounding the first two titles, it’s not too surprising that they currently occupy these positions. It is also interesting to see that Sing 2 is still in play, as the animated film has been in the mix for quite some time now. Along with the plethora of kid-friendly dishes, there’s also top gear for action junkies via Last seen alive and Blackout. I’m curious how long these two films will manage to soar in the ratings. It is the same for Unspeakable Draculawhich was part of Universal’s shared monster universe.

by Ryan Murphy The Observer is in first place again and doesn’t seem to be bothered by the backlash from Twitter to the finale. Love is blind is No. 2 again, while from zerothe limited series directed by Zoe Saldañaenters the list in third place among shows on netflix. The Reese Witherspoon-produced show has managed to push Dahmer, another Murphy production, down a space. In addition, The great British pastry fair joined the rankings, and a horror production entered the fray in tenth place. Look where things stand:
- 1. The Observer
- 2. Love is blind
- 3. From Scratch
- 4. Dahmer — Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story
- 5. Unsolved Mysteries
- 6. The Big Baking Show
- 7. The Sinner
- 8. The Mole
- 9. Gabriel Iglesias: Stadium Fluffy
- 10. 28 haunted days
It’s pretty clear that Ryan Murphy has had a serious TV roster presence over the past few weeks, thanks to Observer and Dahmer. The former has had a long run in the top spot, so it will be interesting to see how long the former is able to do the same. It’s also cool to see that the latest comedy special from Gabriel Iglesias, who paid a huge fine following said production, gets some play. Like a few other shows on this list, you might want to keep an eye out for it over the weekend.
There are certainly a number of interesting developments today, and there’s a variety of content to that. I’ll keep my eyes on the aforementioned points and in the meantime you can take a Netflix subscription so you can check out these titles and more.
