These 5 Netflix Movies and TV Shows Were Filmed in Quebec
When it comes to some of Netflix Canada’s most popular TV shows and movies, you won’t believe how many are filmed in Canada, let alone in Quebec. While the prices may have gone up, we all know we won’t be ditching Netflix anytime soon, so you can watch them now.
From romantic comedies to French comedies to a few dramas, Netflix has managed to film in various locations across Quebec, including Montreal, Lanaudière, and the Laurentians, to name a few – and here are the movies to watch!
The Perfect Family Guide
The Perfect Family Guide moved back to 2021 and was filmed in various locations in Quebec. Featuring some Canadian actors, including Louis Morissette, Catherine Chabot and Xavier Lebel, to name a few.
The film, centered on a Quebec couple, was shot in Montreal and the Laurentians. The main character of the film, Martin, travels to downtown Montreal every day, where a few places are definitely recognizable. The cast headed to the Laurentians for scenes filmed at the character’s family cottage, showcasing much of Quebec’s nature.
Single until the end
Single until the end was easily one of the cutest Christmas rom-coms to hit Netflix last year. Starring Michael Urie, Philemon Chambers, Luke Macfarlane and Jennifer Coolidge, to name a few, this holiday flick found itself filming in various locations across the province.
The scenes shot for the film were filmed in Montreal, Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts and Brome-Missisquoi. While we don’t know exactly where that last spot is, the cast of Single until the end certainly knows him. Did you notice any of these Quebec locations throughout the film?
Somebody Feed Phil
Phil Rosenthal, the creator of Everybody loves Raymondwent ahead and traveled the world to sample many local cuisines and cultures, and Montreal was on his bucket list.
Throughout his Netflix show, Somebody Feed PhilRosenthal found himself in Montreal and was able to discover some of our most popular restaurants.
Phil has visited Park in Westmount, Olive and Gourmando in Old Montreal, Schwartz’s Deli and Ma Poule Mouillée in the Plateau, and of course, a visit to Montreal is never complete without a visit to St-Viateur Bagel.
Asked about his time in Montreal, Phil said this.
“It’s like Europe. When you walk the streets, you see the architecture, you see the parks, it’s very cute, it’s very charming, and it’s Canada so everyone is It’s easy to forget that it’s just an hour flight from New York,” Rosenthal said.

If you haven’t watched Can you hear me ? however, then this is a must-watch! The show was filmed almost entirely in Montreal and follows the lives of three besties from dysfunctional, low-income families — resulting in a lot of heartbreak, but also a lot of laughs.
The cast found themselves shooting in many Montreal boroughs, including Lachine, Saint-Paul, on the shores of the Saint Lawrence River, and even around the McGill University campus. With two seasons on Netflix, Can you hear me ? worth a look just to spot some of the city’s most recognizable neighborhoods.
This Canadian action-adventure film was released in 2020 and stars Guillaume Laurin, Marie-Évelyne Lessard, Réal Bossé and Marc Beaupré, to name a few.
Until Decline was filmed in two locations in Quebec, including the Laurentians, an ideal location given that the film is set in a rural and northern region – and Lanaudière. The cast filmed at the Ouareau Forest Regional Park, about 90 minutes from Montreal.
